WHO IS SEA SEEKER CREATES
SEA SEEKER CREATES is a one woman Design Studio run by me, Sandra Hell. Yes that is my real last name. It is German and means bright.
Born and raised in Germany I decided to go traveling when I was about 22 years old. After a few years of on and off traveling I finally moved to Portugal, where I am based since.
I love the beaches, the ocean and most of all I love surfing.
ROAD TO DESIGNER
I have loved creating ever since I can remember. As a kid I was always drawing and crafting. Later I also started painting, but design was not on my mind yet. After I finished my school education I chose to do two apprenticeships one in administration and one in wholesale and foreign trade. During the second apprenticeship the company opened a subsidiary company and I created the new logo. Back then I used whatever program I had, which was actually Microsoft Word, and was quite happy with the outcome.
Next contact with the design process was a few years later when I thought about a surf zinc brand. Surf zinc is the white thick sunscreen that you often see in surfers faces. I had some ideas how the surf zinc could be done but than got “stuck” with the logo idea. I had so much fun creating a logo that I ignored the rest of my idea.
I feel weeks later I started an online graphic design curs at the OfG (Online Schule für Gestalltung) after work which I finished successfully. I definitely was not done there as I have been constantly taking further curses to improve my skills. I also studied all kinds of different designer and designs to grow as a creative graphic designer.
After your contact we will decide which designs you need and set the creative direction for the design project. This can include the kind of design, colors, type, illustrations, etc.
I will then dive into designing. I usually start with brainstorming and sketches to visualize my ideas. Once I decide on a concept I will go ahead an finish up the design digitally.
You will receive a presentation of the design or the design variations, depending on the project, with the needed explanations. If you have any requests for changes I will include them in the design for a revision.
Once the design meets all you expectations and you approve the design I will send all files for you to use and to enjoy.
